On April 25, 26 and 27, 2025 Almaty will once again become the capital of improvisation, freedom and live sound. The XXIII Almaty International Jazz Festival will bring together on one stage the best musicians of the world - from sunny Italy to temperamental Spain, from Hungary to native Kazakhstan.

This is not just a festival. It is a meeting where there is no translation, because music has its own, universal language. It is a syncopated dialog of hearts, a breath of air for those who hear between the notes.
A story born of a dream
More than two decades ago, jazzman Tagir Zaripov and his team founded the first jazz school in Kazakhstan and this festival as a stage open to the world and youth. Today “Jazz Festival” is not only concerts, but also master classes, where young musicians get firsthand knowledge from the world jazz stars. It is a laboratory of sound, exchange of experience and energy that one wants to share.
Who will play the strings of the soul?
The festival will bring together musicians from France, Italy, Hungary, Germany, Spain, Portugal, Austria, Russia and, of course, Kazakhstan.
Opening

On stage - trio Yulia Perminova (Russia-France/Germany-Portugal). Yulia started her career in this very club, and now she is a star of European jazz festivals. Beautiful, symbolic and very jazzy.

After concerts on April 26 and 27 at EverJazz Club, from 22:00 - legendary jam sessions. This is where the real magic is born: no scripts, no set lists - just sound, moment and freedom. Musicians from different countries will come on stage to play together. And maybe even give birth to something new, right before your eyes.
